Thompson Media Company started as a drone photography and videography operation. Husband and wife Richard and Emily Thompson made the move from New Jersey to Williston, North Dakota, driven by a shared passion for visual storytelling and a belief that the businesses powering the Northern Plains deserved better marketing support than they were getting.
What began with aerial imagery quickly revealed a larger need: the clients we were shooting for needed more than great visuals—they needed a consistent brand voice across every channel. So we expanded. We brought graphic design, social media management, and full-service content production into the fold, growing from a drone company into a complete marketing partner.
